Sue Swenson Retires as CEO of Sage North America

In a communication sent to the software vendor’s business partner community, Tom Miller,
Sage VP of Channel Management, has announced that Sue Swenson will be retiring
from from her role as CEO of Sage Software effective March 31.Pascal Houillon
has been selected to fill that position thereafter. Swenson’s departure was
planned and had been previously made public, although the specific date had
not been disclosed until now.

Houillon has been CEO of Sage France since 1997 and in 2005 also took on responsibility
for Sage in Belgium, Brazil, Switzerland, and Morocco. Mr. Houillon started
his career as a systems analyst for UAP insurance and in 1987 he co-founded
Sinequanon, a company that provided business management solutions to SMEs. He
joined Sage in 1989 in sales and held a number of management positions as a
regional director and sales director before leading the Sybel business when
it was acquired by Sage in 1995. For nine years Mr. Houillon was vice president
of Syntec, the French software and IT association.

“We say goodbye to sue with gratitude for her leadership during one of
hte most difficult economic periods in recent memory,” Miller said. “And
we welcome Pascal, who joins Sage North America with a strong track record of
busienss growth and knowledge of the industry, which makes him well-placed to
lead Sage North America into the next chapter.”
